By adding Transcribe to your Discord server or profile, or by using its transcription features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Transcribe is a Discord application that converts voice messages into text transcripts. It can be triggered in three ways:
Transcribe supports 25 languages with automatic detection. The spoken language is identified by the transcription engine and displayed alongside the result.
You must have a Discord account and be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Transcribe. Using the application in violation of Discord's own Terms of Service is not permitted.
Transcribe enforces fair-use rate limits to keep the service responsive for everyone. Each user and each server has an independent quota. When you exceed the limit, the application will respond with a message indicating how long to wait before trying again.
Rate limits are evaluated per user and per server using a sliding window. A request counts against both your personal quota and your server's quota simultaneously. Exceeding either limit blocks the request until the relevant window resets.
The exact limits may change without notice to accommodate traffic patterns and infrastructure capacity.
You agree not to:
Transcripts generated by Transcribe are returned as messages in your Discord channels. Ownership of those messages is governed by Discord's Terms of Service. Transcribe does not claim any ownership over generated transcripts.
The Transcribe application, including its code, design, and this website, is the intellectual property of Xordas and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without written consent.
Transcribe operates within the Discord platform and is subject to Discord's infrastructure and policies. The application also downloads a machine-learning model from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) on first use for speech recognition. Your use of Discord and Hugging Face is governed by their respective terms of service.
Transcribe is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service. Transcription results may contain errors and should not be treated as authoritative records.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xordas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the application. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Transcribe at any time, with or without notice. We may also restrict or terminate your access to the application if we believe you have violated these terms.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Transcribe after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the use of Transcribe shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
